Terms & Conditions
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are entered into by and between you (“Customer”) and CampusCrate (“CampusCrate,” “CC,” “we,” or “us”), operated as a sole proprietorship. These Terms govern your access to and use of CampusCrate’s services (“Services”), including any services offered through www.campuscratefl.com (the “Website”).
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING FOR OR PURCHASING OUR SERVICES.
By accessing or using the Website, registering for Services, or submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website or purchase Services.
CampusCrate reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to the Website. Continued use of the Website or Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
SERVICE DESCRIPTION
CampusCrate provides student-focused moving and summer storage coordination services. Services may include, but are not limited to:
Delivery of moving boxes or packing supplies
Pickup and local transportation of Customer’s personal property
Temporary storage of property at a third-party storage facility
Redelivery of stored property at the conclusion of the storage term
CampusCrate performs pickup, transportation, and redelivery services using its personnel and equipment. Storage services are provided by independent third-party storage facilities selected by CampusCrate or the Customer.
CampusCrate does not own or operate any storage facilities and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, conditions, security, or environment of any third-party storage facility, except as required by applicable law.
CampusCrate’s responsibility for Customer property is limited to periods when the property is in CampusCrate’s physical custody during pickup, transportation, and redelivery.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
Customers must register through the Website and pay a $50 registration fee to reserve service capacity. Registration allows CampusCrate to collect required information and plan logistics, labor, transportation, and materials.
The registration fee is applied toward the Customer’s total service balance. Any remaining balance is due on the scheduled service day and will be collected separately.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during registration. CampusCrate is not responsible for delays, misdeliveries, additional costs, or service issues resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
The $50 registration fee is refundable if the Customer submits a cancellation request on or before April 23. Cancellation requests must be submitted by email and received by CampusCrate on or before that date.
Cancellations requested after April 23 will result in forfeiture of the registration fee. This fee helps offset materials preparation, labor planning, transportation coordination, and reserved service capacity.
The remaining service balance is only due on service day and will not be charged if the service is canceled.
Full Refund Eligibility
Full refunds are issued only if CampusCrate is unable to provide the agreed-upon Services due to operational limitations or material changes initiated by CampusCrate. Refunds are not provided for changes in personal plans, scheduling conflicts, or failure to cancel by the stated deadline.
MID-SUMMER STORAGE ACCESS
In limited circumstances, CampusCrate may, at its sole discretion, offer ship-only item retrieval. Approved requests are subject to a $60 retrieval fee, plus all applicable shipping costs, and must be requested at least 5–7 business days before retrieval, calculated from the date CampusCrate receives full payment and all required request details.
CampusCrate does not offer in-person pickups, on-site access, or browsing of stored items during the storage period.
FAILURE TO PAY
Failure to pay the remaining service balance on the scheduled service day may result in service refusal or delay. CampusCrate is not obligated to perform Services until full payment is received.
UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
If a Customer fails to schedule delivery, fails to pay the remaining balance, or does not respond to reasonable contact attempts, CampusCrate may treat the property as unclaimed.
CampusCrate will make reasonable efforts to contact the Customer using the information provided. If the property remains unclaimed for 30 days after notice, CampusCrate reserves the right to dispose of, donate, or otherwise remove the property without further liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Customers may not store hazardous, illegal, perishable, or prohibited items, including but not limited to food, alcohol, drugs, weapons, flammable materials, chemicals, and any items restricted by law or by the policies of the applicable storage facility.
CampusCrate reserves the right to refuse, remove, or dispose of prohibited items without liability.
DAMAGE CLAIMS
Any claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be honored.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
CampusCrate is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, acts of God, third-party storage facility conditions, or actions of the Customer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampusCrate’s liability for loss or damage to Customer property while in CampusCrate’s physical custody shall be limited to the coverage expressly purchased by the Customer, if any.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
